Google Announces Real-Time Search

by Hitesh on December 11, 2009

Google today announced their introduction of real-time search results. You can see it in action for the term climate change here.

The live feed brings surfers the latest results from sites such as Twitter and FriendFeed as well as blogs and news results. This is certainly a reason for companies who are not already utilising social networking to have a reason to take some action.

With feeds from social networks now appearing real time in search results I suppose there is going to also be a big threat from spam appearing, however Google seem pretty good at dealing with it in Google Mail so they should have it covered…
